Our design team partnered closely with the homeowners to reimagine the space as a restful, elegant spa bathroom with a better flow, practical storage, and refined materials throughout. The new layout features a double vanity with ample elbow room, warm brown cabinetry, and under-cabinet lighting that adds both ambiance and functionality. A freestanding soaking tub now sits beneath a window nook, while a spacious glass-enclosed shower is positioned just steps away for a seamless daily routine.
The details in this bathroom make the design truly memorable. The countertop is crafted from leathered quartzite, chosen for its subtle texture and soft sheen that bring richness without excessive gloss. A 12-inch backsplash adds dimension, while wall-mounted faucets create a clean, sophisticated look with an unexpected architectural edge.
One of the most distinctive features of this luxury bathroom is the double-sided fireplace that connects the bathroom to the adjacent bedroom. On the bedroom side, a dramatic floor-to-ceiling marble slab surround creates a striking focal point, while a lighted alcove echoes the accent lighting used throughout the bathroom for a cohesive, calming atmosphere.

Basement Remodel for Privacy, Safety, and Function
As part of this basement remodel, the goal was to create a safe, comfortable, and code-compliant living space for the homeowners’ teenage son. The larger whole home renovation provided the opportunity to rethink the basement and make better use of underutilized areas.
By adding a wall within the existing exercise room and sectioning off part of an unfinished storage area, we created a compliant basement bedroom and bathroom that offers greater privacy and independence. An egress window brings in more natural light while also enhancing safety, and the new bathroom features a Kohler Accord shower system chosen for its durability and ease of cleaning.
The result is a basement space that feels brighter, more welcoming, and far more functional for everyday living. It gives the family added flexibility while offering the peace of mind that comes with smart design and safety-conscious planning.
